This group merged with another group, The Mid-Atlantic Hiking Group. There is usually about 6 hikes every Sat. AND Sun. along with several weekday and afterwork hikes throughought the region offerd in all four seasons. The Old Dominion Appalachian Trail Club is an organization of individuals who meet to enjoy the outdoors and act as stewards of a 19.1 mile portion of the Appalachian Trail from Rockfish Gap on I-64 (near Waynesboro) to Reed's Gap on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Club members can be found maintaining our AT section, hiking, backpacking, paddling or visting cultural and historic places. We also have club meetings and social events on a regular basis. Being a Friend of Virginia's Largest State Park isn't just about working, it's also about getting together and having fun on our trails, waterways and camps.
